A quick summary of election results for Zanskar. NC's Feroz Khan won by securing 6552 votes, beating Congress candidate Ghulam Raza by 918 votes. I received a note from a friend in Zanskar several days ago who assured me that the 'dirty business of election is complete'. I would imagine it was not as dirty as the activities recently uncovered in our own House of Commons...

Polling in Zanskar was not without complication. Inhabitants of the Ralakung area voted on the 15th May, two days after the rest of the Zanskar constituency, as bad weather prevented the airlifting of polling staff in time for voting on the 13th. More on this story can be found here.
